Our Client – a supermarket based in Ashongman/ Agbogba Accra region, is looking for a

ACCOUNTANT m/f

ideally you have an HND and you are 30-40 (but not a must)

JOB DESCRIPTION 

*Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure proper accounting practices and internal controls.
* Monitor inventory levels, perform regular stock reconciliations, and report any discrepancies.
*Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
*Manage payroll functions, including calculating employee salaries, benefits, and tax deductions, and ensure timely payroll processing.
*Prepare monthly reports of the Company’s financial statements as well as the profit & loss information for the month.
*Check invoice against goods supplied to verify the quantity, gram, products, unit price and sum total for accuracy.
* Inspect and affirm with a signature to ensure all goods released to the mart have been captured into the system, price tag or code printed out, expiry date & minimum cut off order inputted.
*Perform daily bank reconciliation against POS receipts.
*Inspect & verify exact quantity of stocks ready for distribution to other branches and wholesalers matched with the actual invoices issued.
* Perform monthly stock reconciliations of physical counts against system for all categories of inventory & highlight variances.
*Monitors debtors and creditors balances to ensure prompt payment and proper documentation.
*Authorize and append payment voucher.
* Prepare daily cashiers’ overages / shortages as per sales records and send to Director.

NB: Your attention might be needed at any given time to execute a task different from your job role These are full-time roles.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum an HND

ACCA or ICAG Level1- is highly desirable – not a must though…

Working conditions

These is an 8-hrs per day and 6-day per week job

Salary 

Target Base Salary for this role is 1.500- 2.500 net – depending on your experience and qualifications please.
