Construction firm is looking for an experienced Finishing Manager.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Managing Safety on site That might include effective Tool Box Talks, Daily Task Briefings and Point of Work assessments to Site Operatives (that means company staff and subcontractors);
  • Allocating duties to Site Operatives;
  • Supervising Site Operatives and site activities to ensure tasks carried out are within their levels of skill and expertise;
  • Organising and requisitioning Site Equipment/ Plant and Materials to ensure completion of works;
  • Co-ordinating with Line Managers on managing work methods which are technically sound, safe, economically viable, feasible and consistent and advise them of any items which may impact / change the contract programme;
  • Maintain daily records of site activities and liaise with the Line Managers to produce information for progress reports;
  • Monitor the attendance of Site Operatives and check the daily allocation sheets for accuracy and correct reporting of additional instructed work;
  • Implement the requirements of work safety plans, method statements, risk assessments and other works procedures ensuring they comply with the relevant documentation;
  • Ensure all site operatives are wearing appropriate PPE at all times during site activities;
  • Ensure all site operatives are trained to use any plant and equipment and they are using it safely and for its correct purpose at all times.
  • You keep up with all targeted completion dates and relevant budgets, ensuring that the project is delivered to the client’s expected level of quality in accordance with the project specifications and project requirements.
  • Other duties will include;
    • You will be responsible for the delivery, quality, compliance and handover of floors in sequence
    • Monitoring sub-contractor performance
    • Co-ordinating all internal fit out trades and liaising with your team to collaborate effectively
    • Monitor and report progress against programme on a weekly and monthly basis
    • Maintain detailed record of daily site activities and critical issues
    • Liaise with technical and commercial teams on delivery critical items to execute subcontractor contracts on programme and on budget in line with the design scheme

  • The successful candidate must already be experienced working with a main contractor within the construction industry, you must understand Design and Build contracts and have a good working knowledge of health and safety and environmental management. Ideally you will have a trade/joinery background and high-rise developments would be an advantage.

You are an ambitious individual, take pride in what you produce and have very good communication skills

Salary

At present salary is open, depending on your hands-on experience as a Finishing Manager and and your skillset and certifications.
